Artist Marina Zotova is the semi-finalist of the ARTBOX.PROJECT Zürich 3.0 online art festival. “It’s great that being in Moscow, I can showcase my work in Zurich. I am very happy that such online events can connect artists and audiences from all over the world in times of pandemics”, she said.
The online event ended up with an exhibition. You could see Marina Zotova’s paintings from August 25 to August 29 at the SWISSARTEXPO 2021 in the Zurich Main Station on two large 55″ 4K screens. The site receives 80,000 passers-by daily and is one of the busiest hotspots in the Swiss capital. “Big screens are a great way to showcase art”, Zotova said.
THE ARTBOX.PROJECTS helps promote young artists from all over the world and was brought to life by the ARTBOX.GALLERY Switzerland. The first event took place in Miami in 2016. Since then the project has travelled to such hotspots like New York, Basel and Zurich.
The venue featured several works of Marina Zotova. A moody landscape “Above” depicting a mountain top surrounded by clouds, a serene lake scene called “The Island of Hope”. A tranquil river landscape “Summer Evening”, majestic “The Greatness of the Mountains” and sepia-toned “Above the Clouds” were among the entries as well.
